@omgmog good use of a Pi. Not used my Pi for a while, but I remember getting a significant speed boost by booting off an external SSD. Might help with the build times?

I went on a real vacation, and created photos of a fake vacation using DALL-E 2. Most people couldn't tell the difference.

DIY: Garage to Workshop Conversion - MichD
In June 2021, my partner Brittany and I realised a dream: we bought a house. When viewing the place, the owners showed surprise about us wanting to have a look at the standalone double garage. It was packed full of unwanted stuff, leaving barely any room to walk. As “makers”, we had some different ideas for the space. Soon after we got the keys, we got to work.
Let’s get the before/after out of the way before going through the whole thing.
Before
How we found the garage on the day we received the keys, June 11th. The previous owners cleared out most of their stuff, but left us a few things we might find useful.
After
The finished product after all the work we’ve completed, from a similar viewpoint. Better photos near the end of the post. The goal was to have a finished “inside” style room we’d be comfortable in for our nerdy activities.

@omgmog lol what a coincidence, I just finished reading both articles! One of the points in the focus paragraph made me realize I have to move my hidden rel="me" links: they are present when pressing Tab, but they don't have focus in the page and it's confusing...

Recently I was faced with the following problem. I had to build a layout that consists of several rows. In each row are two images with a fixed aspect ratio. The two images should have the same height and fill the entire row.
Giving this a go, as I'm already using Hyper-V with some guest OS' on this machine I had to fiddle with the Virtualbox settings to get the installer going, but it seems to be working‼

Also I've made some more tweaks to my blog recently, such as:
- Improved Lighthouse score to 100 across the board
- Improved OG data
- Removed all tracking (Google Fonts, Twitter, etc.) with the exception of the Cloudflare beacon
- Added reading time and Webmention counts to the top of posts
- Probably more stuff 🤷
